A Message from Metropolitan John
The Western Orthodox Church of the Holy Transfiguration of Christ welcomes you to Divine Liturgy. Our way of worship has been preserved from the time of our Lord, and our traditions and customs remain invaluable tools of our Faith.
The Church welcomes all sincere people to be partakers of The Holy Mysteries (Communion), having spiritually prepared through appropriate fasting and being confirmed in the Orthodox Catholic Faith. Those not able to receive communion are welcome to approach the Holy Gates near the end of Liturgy to receive the Antidoran (Blessed Bread) in place of the Gifts. The Antidoran is regarded as sharing in some measure in the Cucharistic Blessings.
Persons interested in our ancient Faith who would like more information pertaining to Chrismation, Fasting, etc., please engage one of the laity or clergy after services.
May God grant you His Grace and Blessings
Archbishop John (LoBue)
